Danville Veterans Memorial Building

Danville Veterans Memorial Building - Architectural Rehabilitation - ARG

Initially built in 1925 to commemorate WWI veterans from the San Ramon Valley, the Danville Veterans Memorial Building has long served the community as a primary gathering place. ARG worked with a steering committee made up of representatives of the veterans, Town Council, Senior Services, and Historic Resources Committee in coming up with the design for the rehabilitation and an addition, doubling its size to meet the community's expanded needs for both the city's senior center and the veterans.

What You May Not Know

When the Danville Veterans Memorial Building was first built, the population of Danville was only a few hundred people.

The renovated building has received a LEED Silver certification.

After completion of the project, participation in senior classes and events increased 224%.
