Historic resources surveys serve as key informational and planning tools that enable municipalities, institutions, and the public to make informed land-use decisions regarding identified historic resources. Using state-of-the-art field technology and geospatial data, ARG evaluates and documents properties in a given survey area with respect to historic themes, patterns, and trends identified within the historic context of the area’s history. Working with city/county staff, local commissions, public and private institutions, historic preservation advocacy groups, and private citizens, ARG has successfully completed an extensive number of historic resources surveys across the Western US.
