Los Angeles Union Station

LA Union Station

Since 2008, ARG has played a wide-ranging role in preserving and enhancing the Los Angeles Union Station, one of the region’s most iconic and beloved buildings. Completed in 1939 to the designs of father-son duo Parkinson and Parkinson, the building merges the city’s Spanish Colonial heritage with forward-looking Moderne flourishes.

What You May Not Know

The metal restoration project at Union Station was the largest ever completed in
the City of Los Angeles.
Construction has to be scheduled and coordinated to not impact the safety and flow of patrons,
existing businesses and other tenants such as the Metro and Amtrak.

Our work at Union Station was prominently featured in the 93rd Academy Awards, hosted at
Union Station in 2021.
