Charles Krug Winery

Charles Krug Winery - Architectural Rehabilitation - ARG

The oldest winery in the Napa Valley and a National Historic Landmark, the Charles Krug Winery has been owned and operated by the Peter Mondavi Sr. Family since the 1940s. Long overdue for an upgrade, ARG honored its history while preserving it for future generations through structural strengthening and rehabilitation of the historic redwood cellar and Carriage House.

The winery was first established by Charles Krug in 1861, one of the original pioneers of winemaking in the region.

The sprawling estate was the site of many innovative ideas in California winemaking history, including introducing European grapes and using a cider press to make wine.
