Gabrielle Goldstein
Gabrielle is an architectural conservator who joined ARG after completing her Master of Science in Historic Preservation with a concentration in Conservation from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to studying architectural conservation, she focused on fine arts conservation, primarily in painting conservation. While at Penn, she combined her experiences in painting conservation and architectural conservation for her thesis, in which she assessed the effects of a PVAc treatment on wall paintings in Arizona.
Jordan Paing
Jordan brings years of cross-cultural preservation experience and a strong academic foundation in historic preservation to ARG’s Los Angeles office. His primary interest lies at the intersection of historic preservation and real estate development, with graduate research focused on the Historic Tax Credit program in Oregon. As a designer, he has been committed to developing creative solutions that both preserve the built heritage and efficiently meet project goals and client aspirations. Jordan has experience across multiple project phases and values close collaboration with builders in the field to address constructability challenges.
Scott Severson
Scott has over eighteen years of experience working in internationally recognized architectural offices on award winning projects. Scott has gained experience through working on many different stages of the architectural process, ranging from programming, design and construction phases to the final punch list. Similar to his project experience, Scott’s role has varied from leading small teams on large complex designs. Scott is a creative designer who values the process found in creating buildings that help shape the cities we live in.
Adele Swank
Adele Swank is a historic architect with nearly 25 years of experience specializing in exterior restoration, building forensics and adaptive reuse projects. Prior to joining ARG’s San Francisco office, she practiced in New York City and is a licensed architect in New York state. Adele has managed all phases of restoration projects, from targeted building envelope forensic investigations and repairs to comprehensive multi-phase exterior maintenance and repair campaigns, and award-winning restorations of individual NYC Landmarks and National Historic Landmarks.
Stacy Farr
Stacy A. Farr has over 15 years’ experience in cultural resource documentation and evaluation, preservation planning, and environmental review and compliance. Her recent projects have included Historic Structure Reports and National Register Nominations for the National Park Service, Historic Resource Evaluation reports, Secretary of the Interior’s Standards design reviews, and Historic American Building Survey (HABS) documentation. Stacy is a 25-year resident of the San Francisco Bay Area and has worked on projects throughout California, Washington and New England.
Stace Moye, AIA, LEED AP
With more than 30 years of experience, Stacey A. Moye is a knowledgeable preservation architect with extensive experience in restoration work and adaptive reuse. He is experienced at conditions surveys, exploratory work, detailing and specifications with focus on masonry repairs, window repair and replacement strategies, roofing systems and historic millwork. He has extensive experience in adaptive reuse of structures, including modifications for programming and accessibility needs.
Candace Naste
A Project Manager and Designer in our Portland office, Candace has been integral to an array of unique projects. With nearly 20 years of experience in the architectural industry her portfolio includes extensive work on complex projects involving historic buildings and sites. Candace has served as Project Manager for numerous public and private clients on a wide range of project types including preservation planning, renovation work in historic buildings, seismic upgrades of public and government buildings, conditions assessments of artwork and monuments, as well as ground up construction. On these projects, she has filled the roles of Project Manager, Project Lead, and Designer. Candace brings her detail-oriented focus, management skills, and her love of historic preservation to each project she works on.
Jon Rusch
Jon Rush is a preservation planner with more than a decade of experience supporting complex documentation, evaluation, environmental compliance, and planning projects for historic buildings, landscapes, and districts, primarily in the San Francisco Bay area and the greater West Coast region. Jon has assisted a wide range of public and private sector clients navigate historic preservation regulations and develop plans for significant properties. Jon is adept at preparing detailed resource survey documentation and historic context statements, as well as clear and defensible technical analyses meeting the regulatory requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act and the National Historic Preservation Act. His areas of expertise include cultural landscape documentation, post-World War II resources, creative mitigation strategies, and socially and culturally significant sites. Jon is invested in public interpretation and engagement, and he has contributed to public programs and tours for organizations such as the California Preservation Foundation, Docomomo, Oakland Heritage, and the Cultural Landscape Foundation.
