California Tower in San Diego Union-Tribune

“Built for the 1915 Panama-California Exposition, the tower had been closed to the public since 1935. But after $750,000 in construction and safety upgrades (paid for through a fundraising campaign led by the Museum of Man), the tower opened for public tours on Jan. 1 of this year.”
