New Associate Principals

ARG is pleased to announce the promotion of three Senior Associates to the position of Associate Principal. Join us in celebrating their continued leadership and success!

Julia Ausloos-Bedinger, AIA

Julia has been with ARG since 2013 and is currently based in Denver serving as an Architect, Project Manager, and the firm’s knowledge leader for the digital documentation of historic sites. Julia has used her extensive experience in advanced methods of documentation, such as laser scanning and photogrammetry, to assist in developing databases and Historic Building Information Models for design, construction and long-term resource management. Her recent projects include the new Chisos Mountain Lodge at Big Bend National Park, TX; a Historic Structure Report and current renovation for the historic Mt. Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, Milwaukee, WI, and a project that includes the digital documentation, interpretation and creation of a database for several archeologically significant sites in Lincoln County, NV. Julia is a registered architect in both Colorado and Wisconsin.

Evanne St. Charles, LFA, LEED AP O+M

Evanne is an Architectural Historian and Preservation Planner in ARG’s Los Angeles office with over twelve years of experience in historic resource management. She has managed and contributed to a number of technical preservation planning documents, including the Los Angeles Union Station, Wayfarers Chapel, Carson City Hall and Watts Happening Cultural Center Historic Structure Reports. She also manages the LA office’s Federal Historic Preservation Tax Credit projects. Aside from project work, Evanne led ARG’s effort to become a JUST organization and is a member of the firm’s DEI and 2030 committees. She is actively involved with the Association for Preservation Technology International (APT) as a co-chair of the APT’s Technical Committee on Sustainable Preservation.

Alice Valania, AIA, LEED AP, Assoc. DBIA

Alice has worked throughout the State of California for more than twenty years rehabilitating and modernizing unique local and national landmarks. Currently based in Sacramento, she has been with ARG for twelve years leading the firm’s work at the California State Capitol and Gregory Bateson Building for the California Department of General Services, and the China Beach Bathhouse and Site Rehabilitation for the National Park Service. Alice served on the City of Los Angeles Highland Park HPOZ Board and the City of Sacramento Preservation Commission where she worked to assist property owners and policymakers implement smart strategies for growth in Historic Districts. She is a registered architect in California.
