In 2021, was contracted by Los Angeles City Planning to develop a Historical Housing and Land Use Study. The purpose of the document was to provide a detailed look at the public and private forces that enabled and fostered housing discrimination over the course of the city’s history, and the many ways this discrimination has impacted our communities of color.
With the public release of this document, we hope it will fulfill its purpose by informing future policymaking and by being a resource to those who study the complicated history of our city.
